I was reminded recently of our President's glorious State Of The Union address earlier this year. Let me set the scene. The Justices of the Supreme Court followed tradition and took their seats up front. As is their practice, they showed no emotion or other sign that they approved or disapproved of the President's address. They were present simply to indicate the general unity and support of the third branch of our government.

They were present simply to indicate the general unity and support of the third branch of our government.
Contrary to established practice our Ego-Driven President used this occasion, when all America was watching and listening, to berate and scold the Supreme Court knowing that it's Justices sitting before him could not respond. In fact they could not show their displeasure in any way. They had to sit there and let this Clueless President (who thinks he is smarter than anyone) lecture, scold, and criticize the the court.
In retrospect, his State Of The Union address covered very little of the State Of The Union. Instead, it was something between an activist rally and a high school pep talk.
The single exception of was the President's awkward and unfair comments about the Supreme Court. I hope they never forget the insult.
