TEA Parties Are Not Partisan

.

I've been watching these guys thinking sooner or later the extremists among them will stub their toes and besmirch the whole bunch. Well, it's hasn't happened. Instead, TEA Parties have steadily gained stature and support. I took another look.

The first thing I discovered was the most important.

TEA Parties are not partisan.

There is a mixture of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents who are members. They have all united behind the intentions of our Founding Fathers and our 200+ years of the American experience.

A TEA Party is more accurately thought of as a political movement intended to recapture and defend the ideas that have made our country great, including:

A small but effective Federal Government,
bound by the U.S. Constitution, and
        guided by the Federalist Papers.

A belief in the self evident truths, that men
are created equal, and have certain inalienable
rights,  such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of
        happiness.

        And, despite the religious connotation,
TEA Party people generally believe in
        The Ten Commandments.

The TEA  movement of today appeals to citizens who think our country is being managed to disaster. These citizens believe there is NO EXCUSE for the monstrous overspending by our current national government, and they do not approve of forwarding the bill to our descendents. Nor do they appreciate the attempts to corrupt our Constitution and disregard the advice of our Founding Fathers.
